Abysswalker Artorias was left-handed.
Majestic Greatsword (from Dark Souls II DLC) description:An ancient greatsword of unknown origin.
This sword was passed down through generations, until it reached Gordin, wandering knight of Forossa, and was lost upon his death.
Uncannily, every last one of the prominent swordsmen who inherited this weapon was left-handed.
When you fight Knight Artorias in the Dark Souls DLC, he is attacking with his right hand, while his left is broken and entirely useless. He left his shield behind so that its divine magic could protect Sif, and was unable to defend himself very well as he made his way back up. The Majestic Greatsword, as it’s now known by the time of DSII’s events, was wielded by lefties and has Artorias’s moveset when equipped in the left hand. It is also stronger that way, suggesting that Artorias would have been an even greater force than he already was, had he taken you on while fully able and uncorrupted by the abyss.
